Can i still shave my armpit with this lump on there?

i have a cyst on my left armpit. its been there for a few days now and it is starting to get a little smaller and less painful. it's summer time and i havent shaved in like 3 days and its starting to get pretty nasty under there. so if i did shave and just use gentle strokes with the razor will that be fine or should i just wait until its gone?
