What is a 1992 yamaha rt 180 dirt bike worth?

I am interested in buying the bike specified above and was wondering how much it was worth... Kbb said from a dealer in excellent condition it would be worth $720... Kbb prices are kin a high in my opinion, what would the bike be worth when buying from a private party and in good condition? The bike is a two stroke, would that be ok for a starter bike? Thanks
