Do you believe that in a civilized society it's necessary for people to be two-faced?

Jill Zaran said she believes it is because it would cause a lot of chaos and turmoil if everyone just walked around saying exactly what is on their minds... Do you agree? Do you always say exactly what is on your mind? If so, how often do you offend others by doing so?
