Boyfriend having health problems after smoking marijuana?

My boyfriend says that sometimes when being high he will become almost paralyzed, and has to sit back in a certain position. He says he also gets very cold after and has a lower back pain. Does anyone know what this is? He said it was a stroke but I'm not quite sure if it was. He is 17. Any information will help thank you!
