Does evolution in large part have unverifiable or undocumented information ?

Evolution, as the general concept by which all advanced life has been formed, is so overwhelmingly verified. However, there will always be individual and specific hypothesis that are not completely or sufficiently verified. Birds evolved from somewhere- if you've got a better theory, show me your support. But the fact that one curator takes issue with one one magazine article hardly invalidates a century of support for what is now an obvious answer to the god/creation question.
