Does discrimination based on social class still exist in our civilized and post-modern society? Examples?

i work with men who have doctorates all day and i have a ged man but i read alot!!!!! intelligence is earned along with wisdom plus the 240 frame helps keep the down talking to a minimum. i have witnessed this before i had to work with a engineer once in a mill as a welder and we werent allowed to talk to him because we were beneath him we had to go to a supervisor.
