What makes us civilized?

we aren't civilized, we have the same interests as animals but because of our higher intelligence we're able to do more towards our interests. some animals like power, some like peace, some are bisexual, some are gay, some like warm, some like cold, some are spontaneous, some are predictable, some work hard, some are vulchers, some get high and some get drunk. The only difference is we're smart enough to have it down to a science.
